Emergency First Aid at Work. This course helps individuals and organisations meet HSE requirements. One-day course covers CPR, use of AED, choking, recovery position, blood loss, trauma, medical emergencies, health & safety law, accident reporting. The course includes both theoretical and practical learning. The award is valid for three years.
First Aid at Work. This course is designed for people who want to receive thorough first aid training. This three-day course covers roles and responsibilities of the first aider, managing emergencies, asthma, bleeding, bone, muscle and joint injuries, burns & scalds, chest pains, choking, eye injuries, fainting, AED prompts and how to respond, head injuries, health & safety regulations, low blood sugar, poisoning, CPR, seizures, shock, spinal injuries, stroke, unresponsive casualty, AED replacement. The award is valid for three years, then refresher training annually.
CPR & AED. This is a one-day course. Individuals learn CPR, roles & responsibilities of the first aider, AED safety & functions, choking, infection control, heart attacks, dealing with unresponsive casualties. The award is valid for three years.
Paediatric First Aid. One or two-day course. The one-day course is designed for nannies, au pairs, babysitters and parents. The two-day course is for teachers. Individuals learn how to check for signs of breathing, assessments of injuries, recovery position, infant & child CPR, choking, bleeding & shock management, seizures, anaphylaxis and childhood illnesses. The award is valid for three years.
