First Aid Training

  • Emergency First Aid at Work. This course helps individuals and organisations meet HSE requirements. One-day course covers CPR, use of AED, choking, recovery position, blood loss, trauma, medical emergencies, health & safety law, accident reporting. The course includes both theoretical and practical learning. The award is valid for three years.
  • First Aid at Work. This course is designed for people who want to receive thorough first aid training. This three-day course covers roles and responsibilities of the first aider, ¬†managing emergencies, asthma, bleeding, bone, muscle and joint injuries, burns & scalds, chest pains, choking, eye injuries, fainting, AED prompts and how to respond, head injuries, health & safety regulations, low blood sugar, poisoning, CPR, seizures, shock, spinal injuries, stroke, unresponsive casualty, AED replacement. The award is valid for three years, then refresher training annually.
  • CPR & AED. This is a one-day course. Individuals learn CPR, roles & responsibilities of the first aider, AED safety & functions, choking, infection control, heart attacks, dealing with unresponsive casualties. The award is valid for three years.
  • Paediatric First Aid. One or two-day course. The one-day course is designed for nannies, au pairs, babysitters and parents. The two-day course is for teachers. Individuals learn how to check for signs of breathing, assessments of injuries, recovery position, infant & child CPR, choking, bleeding & shock management, seizures, anaphylaxis and childhood illnesses. The award is valid for three years.
